I have enjoyed cooking only since my teen years.  At that time baking was my focus.  In fact, at most family gatherings it was my assignment to bring the dessert!   When I was 12 years old I helped the caterer prepare food for my sisters wedding.  I begin working in food service, officially, at 15 years old.  Work in the food service industry continued into my late 20’s.  Once I began teaching Family & Consumer Science (Home Economics) full time I stepped away from the food service industry, until my teaching focus food service and culinary arts.

Over the years I have been asked for recipes, as well as cooking tips and advice.  I finally felt confident enough to develop a blog share my stories, recipes, and tips, etc.
